[Solved] iPhone problems copying files on Windows 10

Issue

Copying files from iPhone 7 to PC with File Explorer cause the message "0x80070141 the device is unreachable". Another possible message is "Can't read from the source file or disk".

I also got the message "Catastrophic failure" :)

What I have discovered

1. The issue is occurring while copying files received from other contacts, for example via WhatsApp, not the photos and videos created originally with the iPhone.
2. USB 3.0 does not work, but USB 3.0 powered one works.

Other solutions to try

1. Open Settings on your iPhone > Tap Photos > Scroll down to find the section "Transfer to Mac or PC" > If you have chosen "Automatic", tap "Keep Originals" > reconnect the iPhone to the PC. If it does not work, try the other selection.
2. Use USB 2.0 instead of USB 3.0.
